SURREY, B.C. - RCMP are investigating after a father and daughter walking the trail system in Surrey, B.C. discovered charred human remains.
The pair, both adults, called police after they stumbled across the body on Saturday.
Officers who went to the scene concluded the findings were suspicious and launched an investigation.
Police guarded the area overnight and continued to gather evidence on Sunday, including speaking to residents in the neighbourhood.
Investigators were not immediately able to determine whether the body was male or female, or the person's cause of death.
An autopsy is expected early in the week.
