A 20-year-old man was found stabbed to death late Wednesday night, marking the third separate stabbing death in Toronto in less than 24 hours.

Police responded to a call in the city's west-end near Friendly and Lormar Drives shortly before midnight.

A 20-year-old man was found with stab wounds to the chest. He was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim has not been released. He is the city's 53rd homicide victim of the year.

Toronto police are also investigating a separate stabbing death that occurred at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday near Overlea Boulevard and Thorncliffe Park Drive.

Police say Engin Yilmaz was in the parking lot of an apartment building on Milepost Place when he got into a verbal dispute with his roommate.

Yilmaz, 34, was stabbed with a knife as the dispute escalated into a physical altercation. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

After calling police from a phone, officers encouraged the suspect to turn himself into the local police station, 53 Division. The suspect turned himself in to police some time before noon, police sources told CTV.ca.

Hikmet Dasdemir, 35, is charged with second-degree murder. He was expected to make a brief appearance in court Thursday morning.

In a separate incident, a 22-year-old mother of three succumbed to her injuries after she was found with a severe head injury in what investigators believe was a love triangle that took a deadly turn.

Police say the woman was found early Wednesday morning in a parking lot on Eglinton Avenue East.

Investigators believe the woman's 38-year-old common-law partner found her with another man at a motel.

Police say the woman was dragged outside and ended up in front of an apartment building on Birchmount Road and Eglinton Avenue, across from a police station.

Police are treating the woman's death as suspicious until the cause of death can be determined.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

The identities of the victim and the accused are being withheld.

The suspect is scheduled to make a court appearance on Thursday.
