Brace yourselves Star Wars fans. HP has released a special edition Star Wars notebook that comes pre-loaded with more than 1,000 images from the film franchise as well as R2-D2 and lightsaber notification sounds.

It's the latest Star Wars merch to be unveiled ahead of the hotly anticipated film release of Episode VII "The Force Awakens" on December 18.

On the Stars Wars Special Edition Notebook a full HD display on a 15-inch screen allows users to gawk at a thousand images from the film franchise over its 40-year history, including rare footage of the storyboards actually used to guide filming, behind-the-scenes photos, set designs, costumes and models.

On the outside, the notebook is dressed in a "battle-worn" distressed design with the words "Galactic Empire" written in Aurebesh font unique to Star Wars. Photos of Stormtroopers are placed on the keyboard deck which is back-lit in a haunting Sith-like red.

And to complete the experience are notification sounds mimicking R2-D2 and lightsaber swooshes.

The Star Wars Special Edition notebook will be available in the U.S. on Nov. 8. Pre-orders open October 8.

Prices start at $699 USD. Accessories like a mouse and sleeve are also available for $39.99.
