Saskatchewan RCMP say they’re investigating a two-vehicle collision involving semi-trucks west of Flaxcombe. Kindersley RCMP were called to Highway 7 at about 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of a collision between two semi-trucks. Fire and EMS also responded. RCMP say the sole occupant of one semi-truck was assessed at the scene by EMS, while the driver of the second truck was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious. Kindersley Fire says crews set up a STARS air ambulance landing zone, which was later cancelled when the patient was transported to Kindersley Airport for transfer to a Saskatoon hospital. RCMP say the investigation is continuing with the help from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist. Flaxcombe is located approximately 220 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
