Charges against two Edmonton men accused of sexually assaulting two girls in Meadow Lake have been stayed. In the early morning hours of Feb. 6, 2024 officers were dispatched to an 9th Street West in Meadow Lake after receiving a report of the assaults. RCMP said Gagandeep Singh Gill and Balraj Sidhu, both from Edmonton, were arrested at the scene. The men, who were 35 and 31 at the time, were each charged with one count of sexual assault. The charges were stayed in Nov. 2025, which paused the prosecution. The Crown has up to one year to revive the case if it believes there’s a reasonable likelihood of conviction.
