The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed a new kicker in the form of Coquitlam, B.C.’s Dawson Hodge. The 24-year-old played five college seasons at Wilfred Laurier, handling both kicking and punting duties. Hodge made 51 of 76 field goal attempts, with his career best coming from 49 yards. He also averaged 41.4 yards on 302 punts. The specialist attended Calgary Stampeders training camp earlier this year, and camps with the Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts in 2025. Hodge played in one 2025 pre-season game with the Riders, making his lone field goal attempt. Current Roughriders kicker Alex Hale has made just 58 per cent of his field goal attempts this season, connecting on 7 of 12.
