Regina firefighters responded to a pair of residential fires Sunday evening. The Regina Fire and Protective Services (RFPS) said its crews arrived at the 1600 block of Toronto Street at around 5 p.m. after a garage was reported to be on fire. The structure was fully engulfed in flames as fire crews arrived at the scene. The crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. A photo from the scene showed the heavily charred remnants of the garage. No injuries were reported and the fire was reported to be under investigation. Later that evening, just prior to 9 p.m., crews responded to a reported house fire on the 2200 block of Montreal Street. Crews were also able to quickly extinguish a small fire in the home’s attic. Similar to the first incident, no injuries were reported and a fire investigator was dispatched to determine the cause of the blaze.
