VANCOUVER- Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi take on their so-called "Hollywood star whackers" with a film screening in Vancouver tonight.

Evi Quaid is screening an unfinished version of a film -- appropriately titled "Star Whackers" -- at a local theatre.

The couple made headlines last year after they were arrested in Vancouver because of vandalism allegations in the United States.

After their release, the Quaids made a refugee claim and claimed they were the target of a murderous plot that already killed other Hollywood stars.

Tonight's event will also include by Randy Quaid railing against the so-called "star whackers" and prosecutors in the United States.

The Quaids' antics have earned them comparisons to Charlie Sheen's bizarre behaviour in recent weeks and it's been suggested that all the talk of "star whackers" may be part of a big joke.

But Evi Quaid bristles at the suggestion there's anything amusing about the self-described "hell" the couple has been through -- and she insists it's no joke.
