Ottawa volunteers give at-risk turtles a helping hand
A group of volunteers helped a group of at-risk baby turtles into the water of the Ottawa River on Friday. Volunteers with Friends of Petrie Island collect and incubate turtle eggs throughout the summer so they can be safely released into the waters near Petrie Island.
