DAVIDSON, Sask. - An Ontario father charged with assault in connection with the death of his infant son has been arrested in Saskatchewan.
RCMP arrested 21-year-old Rourke Thomas Desmanche on Saturday in the community of Davidson, about 115 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
London, Ont., police want Desmanche on two counts of assault and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
In August, police responded to a call that Desmanche's infant child was not breathing. The nine-week-old infant died in hospital later that month.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Desmanche.
Police say the baby and an unidentified three-year-old were also victims of previous assaults.
