HALIFAX - RCMP in Nova Scotia have charged two men with first-degree murder in the death of a teenager found near a quarry earlier this month.

Brian Gowen, 22, and Steven Shaun Gowen, 21, both of Eastern Passage, were arrested Saturday and charged with the murder of 18-year-old Dillon Blair Jewett.

Sgt. Brigdit Leger would not confirm media reports that the two men are related.

They will appear in Truro provincial court on Tuesday.

The charges follow the arrest last week of Amanda Allison Greene, an 18-year-old Nova Scotia woman also charged with first-degree murder in Jewett's death.

Leger confirmed Sunday that the three accused know each other.

Jewett, of Dartmouth, was found Oct. 3 by all-terrain vehicle riders near the East Uniacke Quarry north of Halifax.
