Aidan Kallioinen, 22, has been elected mayor of Espanola, defeating incumbent Douglas Gervais with more than 1,400 votes. A former councillor first elected at 18, Kallioinen says he is grateful the community chose him to lead and that improving infrastructure will be a top priority.
