The Anishinabek Police Service has launched an automated licence plate recognition system. Mounted on patrol cars, the ALPR system flags 'hotlist' plates to help officers find stolen vehicles, persons of interest with outstanding warrants, vehicles linked to Amber Alerts and suspended or prohibited drivers.
