Long-time North Bay city councillor Mac Bain has died. First elected in 2003, Bain held several municipal leadership roles, including executive director of the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities, and tributes are pouring in, with Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli calling him a larger-than-life presence and the outgoing North Bay Mayor Peter Chirico saying he always kept things in perspective.
