RYAM plant in Témiscaming shuts down, 400 jobs impacted
Production has stopped at the Rayonier Advanced Materials paperboard plant in Témiscaming, Que., impacting roughly 400 jobs. The company announced in late August that business had become unsustainable with 50 per cent tariffs targeting the Canadian forest industry and said it would shut down the pulp and paper mill for an indefinite period. Unifor says it's working to save the plant and jobs.
