$4,500 fine, 5-year fishing ban for man covicted of illegal trout netting
A case in which a Thunder Bay man was fined $4,500 and suspended from fishing in Ontario for five years after being convicted of illegally netting rainbow trout within 23 metres of a dam and making false statements to conservation officers is summarized. Conservation Officer Ron Arnold also reminded anglers not to fish below dams during fall salmon migration.
