The Greater Sudbury Police Service Board met Wednesday morning and discussed downtown safety and recruitment challenges. Police chief Sara Cunningham reported the force completed 1,279 downtown patrols over the summer and made many arrests for open-air drug use. The board also updated its letter to the province on homelessness, drug use and mental health, which is being shared with the Premier's office. Madison Marier has more.
