U.S. slaps 50% tariff on 110 Canadian products
The U.S. is imposing new 50% tariffs on 110 Canadian items, including cheese and dairy products, motorboats, paper, steel and aluminum. Economists warn the new levies will likely cause some regional disruptions as businesses adapt. The U.S. is also removing tariffs on 10 items, including salt, cement and toilet paper, to offset the burden on American commerce.
