The Manitoulin Swing Bridge in Little Current has officially been dedicated to OPP Const. Marc Hovingh, who was killed on duty in 2020. His wife received a posthumous Commissioner's Citation of Bravery for his actions in preventing further loss of life that day. The bridge is the only swing bridge ever dedicated to an officer.
