Algoma Steel's electric arc furnace has resumed operations after an unplanned power outage at its Lake Superior generating facility more than two weeks ago. A turbine unit at the power station detected an abnormal condition and was automatically taken offline, and it will remain out of service while the company explores options to restore generating capacity.
