Algoma Steel has pleaded guilty in the 2023 death of contractor Damien Bryant, 21, who died from oxygen deprivation after crawling into a gas line. The Ministry of Labour says the company failed to post required safety signs. Algoma has agreed to a $250,000 fine and says it takes workplace safety seriously.
