West Nile virus detected in northern Ontario crow
West Nile virus has surfaced in the Espanola area after an American crow tested positive for the disease. Public Health officials say the case serves as an early warning sign and are urging residents to take precautions. Most human cases are mild, though rare encephalitis is possible. Officials recommend using insect repellent, removing standing water and repairing window screens. Madison Marier has more.
