A Montreal research team is testing a prototype in Timmins that uses cameras and artificial intelligence to map forests and predict wildfire risks before they start. The system analyzes vegetation, soil and humidity to help authorities target prevention efforts. The team hopes to get this technology to emergency services faster. Lydia Chubak reports.
