Doug Smith, the founder of Manitoulin Transport and a member of the Order of Canada, has died at age 93. The Gore Bay resident built his company into a national brand and donated $1 million to the Manitoulin Health Centre. The town's mayor says Smith will never be forgotten for his contributions locally and beyond.
