A family is being praised for using kayaks and buckets to douse a remote wildfire on Manitoulin Island before crews arrived. Nicole Jacko and her cousins formed a water chain for more than two hours to extinguish the blaze near their camp on Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Jacko said they could not risk the fire spiralling out of control. Madison Marier has the story.
