Timmins city council unanimously approved $150,000 from the city's accommodations tax for a new garage and magic carpet lift at Mount Jamieson Resort. The funding follows a $420,000 federal pledge from Minister Patty Hajdu. The resort is enjoying a banner year after rebranding and heavy snow.
