NOSM U gets $225K from mining company to recruit northern doctors
NOSM University in Sudbury has received a $225,000 gift from Agnico Eagle Mines to help recruit doctors to the North. The funding will be distributed over three years and aims to bolster existing recruitment efforts amid a regional physician shortage. School officials say the money will be used to show potential students the advantages of living, learning and working in northern Ontario.
