Ottawa children's charity expands to help northern family
When Michelle Neal's 18-month-old daughter Grace was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, her family travelled nine hours from Iroquois Falls to Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario and found refuge at the Ronald McDonald House in Ottawa. Now, a new 25,000-square-foot expansion has doubled capacity to 36 accessible suites, added kitchens and family spaces, and eliminated the waitlist for families from as far as Nunavut—allowing parents to focus on healing while their children receive critical care.
