Heat alert prompts safety warnings across northeastern Ontario
A heat alert is in effect across northeastern Ontario and health officials are urging residents to take the heat seriously. Public health advises staying hydrated, seeking shade and using air conditioning to stay cool. Officials warn that dizziness and lack of focus are signs of heat illness, while heat stroke requires an immediate call to 911.
