The Northern Tornadoes Project has confirmed that three separate downbursts hit the region the day before Canada Day. One storm caused EF-2 damage on Lake Temagami, while two others, rated EF-1, struck Red Cedar Lake and Mattawa. No injuries were reported, though all three left visible damage.
