Styrofoam debris from downtown Sudbury renovations sparks city order
Styrofoam debris from a downtown Sudbury renovation project blew onto sidewalks and into storm drains. The city ordered the developer to halt work until containment measures were in place as the particles can break down into microplastics and pose a risk to waterways. Work has since resumed, but some grates remain unscreened.
