A long-unidentified portrait of a WWI nurse has been confirmed as Callander, Ont.’s Christena Clinton Gordon. The painting, found at a North Bay Legion, depicts Gordon, who served in Europe with Queen Alexandra’s Nursing Service. The painting has been restored and donated to Callander’s museum, it is now on display with her uniform and photos. Eric Taschner has more.
