Ontario’s radioactive material plan sparks backlash in northern town
Nairn and Hyman Townshop residents are opposed to a radioactive material transfer to Agnew Lake, citing health and environmental risks. The province plans to move 18,000 cubic metres of niobium tailings from Nipissing First Nation through the region, but locals say studies are lacking.
