A Timmins couple has hit the jackpot, winning $1 million in the lottery. Nancy and Mark Verreault won one of the guaranteed $1M Maxmillions prizes in the Dec. 3 Lotto Max draw. “When the main jackpot reaches $50 million, we give you even more chances to dream,” Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. said on its website about the prize. “To win a Maxmillions draw, you must match all seven numbers on one line on your ticket. There are no subsidiary prizes.” The Verreualts bought their winning ticket at the Esso Convenience Store on Riverside Drive in Timmins. Since 2009, 113 Lotto Max jackpots have been won along with 937 Maxmillions prizes. Playsmart offers information on gambling games.
