A 17-year-old faces several charges after Thunder Bay police responded to an incident where four people were attacked with bear spray. Officers were dispatched to an address on Windsor Street after receiving reports of a disturbance, the Thunder Bay Police Service said in a news release Thursday. Police said investigators learned that a suspect, who was wearing a face covering to conceal his identity, had approached a residence and broke a window before deploying bear spray. “Officers located an individual who matched the description of the suspect, but the suspect attempted to flee,” said police. The male suspect was eventually taken into custody. As a result, the teen has been charged with four counts of assault with a weapon, mischief, disguise with intent and resisting arrest. The accused was remanded into custody following an initial court appearance.
