The Thunder Bay 50/50 has crowned another multi-millionaire. Graham and Helen Bromley of the Greater Sudbury community of Hanmer won $2,059,142 in September’s draw — making them the eighth grand prize winner to take home more than $2 million. “Helen, this isn’t a joke — I’m calling to tell your husband that you have won $2,059,142,” said Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation CEO Glenn Craig when he first made the call. Retired police officer Graham, a retired police officer of 37 years, and his wife Helen could hardly believe the news. “We’ve been married 57 years and never thought I would win anything,” Graham said. When asked what might be on their to-do list now that they are multi-millionaires, Helen didn’t hesitate. “First off, help my kids out and my grandkids,” she said. This weekend, the family was gathering to celebrate several birthdays and this win is going to change the celebration dramatically. Helen joked that they were considering “having it catered in.”
