Sudbury area man claims $100K prize in Encore draw

Saying “yes” to Encore paid off for one northern Ontario resident last month.

Nicholas Cyr, from the Greater Sudbury community of Chelmsford, matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 16 Lotto Max draw to win $100,000.

Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery draw games for an extra $1. There are two Encore draws every day.

OLG did not provide any details on what Cyr planned to use the windfall for and CTV News has not been able to contact them to learn more about the win.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kwik Way Convenience on Errington Avenue in Chelmsford, OLG confirmed.
