Ontario Provincial Police charged a 70-year-old driver with multiple offences after a traffic stop on Highway 17 west of North Bay earlier this month. Excessive speed, cannabis readily available OPP said, in a social media post, that the vehicle was stopped at it was “observed travelling at 151 km/h in a 90 zone.” Police said that during the traffic stop, officers also observed an unsealed THC container on the vehicle’s passenger seat. The motorist, a resident of Sturgeon Falls, was subsequently charged with stunt driving and with driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available. Licence suspended, vehicle impounded As a result, OPP also suspended the motorist’s driver’s licence for 30 days, impounded the vehicle involved for 14 days and the driver is now scheduled for a future traffic court appearance.
