Ontario Provincial Police have charged four people following a drug investigation that led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, cash and firearms. Officers from multiple OPP teams, including the canine unit, executed a drug warrant on March 28 at a residence on Waubeek Street in the Town of Parry Sound. Seizure, charges “(During) a search of the residence, officers seized a quantity of drugs suspected to be cocaine with an estimated street value of $5,200,” said police in a news release. Police also seized two firearms and $25,000 cash. As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old, a 30-year-old and a 62-year-old, all from Parry Sound, along with a 30-year-old woman from Lachine, Que., were all charged with drug trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. The 30-year-old and 62-year-old locals also face additional charges for unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition. The woman also faces additional charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with an undertaking. All four had future court appearances scheduled.
