Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a death in the Town of Parry Sound over the weekend. OPP said officers responded to a residence on Church Street at about 1 p.m. on Sept. 13, where an adult male was found deceased. No broader threat, investigators say “Investigators believe this is an isolated incident with no signs of a broader threat,” said police in a news release Monday. “Residents can expect to see an increased police presence on Church Street as the investigation continues.” According to police, local OPP units are conducting the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Police seek information Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to “immediately contact” OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or anonymous information can be provided to Crime Stoppers.
