One person has been killed and two are in hospital following a multi-vehicle collision Feb. 12 on Highway 11 near Kenogamisis Dam Road. The highway remains closed from Hearst to Nipigon as emergency responders deal with the scene. “The serious collision is now confirmed as a fatal collision with one individual pronounced deceased at the scene, while two individuals were transported to hospital with injuries,” Ontario Provincial Police said Friday morning. Multi-vehicle crash The collision was reported around 5:30 p.m. The investigation by the Greenstone OPP is continuing, with help from the OPP traffic incident management enforcement team. In addition to Highway 11, Highway 631 from Hornepayne to Highway 11 is also closed. Further updates to the highway closures will be provided as information becomes available.
