Head coach for top NOJHL team fired

Powassan Voodoos Head Coach Beau Moyer has been fired and told the team "is going with another guy."

The Powassan Voodoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League will be without their head coach, Beau Moyer, for the next fifteen games.

Moyer has been suspended for violating the league’s code of conduct protocol.

Published reports in North Bay say the violation involved legal-aged players sharing a beer in public with the coach.

"Beau has breached the code of conduct rules of the Northern Ontario Junior 'A' Hockey League.  As per the league protocol, we cannot release any more details." said Voodoos General Manger Chris Dawson.

Bruce Cazabon, the team’s assistant coach, is taking over behind the bench in the interim.

With only six losses this season, the Voodoos are ranked at the top of the league.
