TORONTO - Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty is warning that the province will end up with a smaller auto sector, even if there's a bailout for struggling automakers.

McGuinty says Ontario - the heartland of Canada's auto industry - will see more job losses in the sector, but can't say how many may disappear.

The premier says he'll do what he can to shore up the ailing industry, but he's not even thinking about a Plan B if one or more of the automakers goes under.

Ontario Economic Development Minister Michael Bryant is in Detroit today with federal Industry Minister Tony Clement to meet with auto executives.

They'll be travelling to Washington on Thursday to gather more information about a possible U.S. government bailout package for the sector.
