A composite image of a woman at the heart of Tori Stafford's disappearance in Woodstock, Ont., has raised suspicions among some of the girl's relatives.

Police say the composite sketch is of a woman seen in a surveillance video with the eight-year-old girl, who went missing two weeks ago, and is based on information from a witness.

"We have our beliefs and we have shared our beliefs with the authorities and that's all I can really say in regards to that," Rebecca Stafford, Tori's aunt on her father's side of the family, told reporters.

"I don't really want to say anything that can hinder the progress of this investigation."

Steve Millen, Tori's uncle on her father's side, said that "We do have suspicions."

However, Tara McDonald, Tori's mother (her ex-husband Rodney Stafford is the girl's father), said she didn't recognize the woman at all.

"I've been staring at it all night, and I don't have a clue," she told reporters.

Police say the composite sketch of the mystery woman seen in a surveillance video with Victoria Stafford, the eight-year-old girl who went missing two weeks ago, is based on information from a witness.

McDonald said she's looked at the video over and over again, trying to put the face on the body in the video, "but I don't recognize anybody as of yet."

A few people buttonholed by CTV Toronto on the streets of Woodstock professed ignorance as to who the woman might be.

At a news conference in Woodstock, Ont., OPP Det. William Renton said he was not able to offer more details about the identity of the witness. A man waiting for his son is also shown in the video, but the investigator said, "I'm not prepared to reveal anything of an evidentiary value at this point."

Investigators describe the woman in the sketch as being between 19 to 25 years old, at least 5'1" tall and weighing about 125 pounds. She is believed to wear her long dark hair in a ponytail.

Renton would not reveal how long police have had the sketch and he also refused to comment when asked if members of Tori's family had been ruled out as possible suspects.

Police have already released surveillance video taken on the afternoon of April 8, which showed Tori walking away from school with a woman in a puffy white coat.

Renton said police have received roughly 1,200 tips since Tori first went missing and several since the composite image was released late Tuesday night.

"We're still just sifting through the information, the guys are working long and hard and we're just hoping to bring Victoria back," Renton said.

He said the investigation is still focused on the Woodstock area but that officials would follow the evidence and information "anywhere."

Meanwhile, the U.S. television show "America's Most Wanted" will be broadcasting a segment about the Stafford case on Saturday.

The case has been on the show's website for a week.

McDonald released another photo of Victoria Wednesday afternoon -- a school picture taken the day before her daughter disappeared.

"I miss her," she said,  looking at the picture and choking back tears.

In Brantford on Wednesday night, a candlelight vigil was held to allow people to show their support for Tori and her family.
