The Montreal Victoire are set to begin training camp on Nov. 18, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced Thursday. The team, which won its first-ever Walter Cup last season, are expected to begin training at the same time as the league’s 11 other teams. Details regarding the training camps are not yet available. The PWHL notes that each team will also play two preseason games, held across five locations. The Victoire are slated to face off against the New York Sirens on Nov. 24 at 4 p.m. at the Boston Sports Institute before taking on the Boston Fleet at the same venue the next day at 2 p.m. There are no preseason games scheduled in Quebec. Preseason is set to take place from Nov. 22 to 30, with the regular season potentially starting in early December. Each preseason game is expected to feature two teams of 21 players and last 60 minutes. Regardless of the score, a three-on-three overtime period will then be played, followed by a shootout. The list of players invited to the camps for the 12 teams is expected to be announced on Oct. 5, with each club having between 28 and 32 skaters.
