A pharmacy in Montreal’s Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough was lit aflame early Tuesday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) patrol officers were circulating in the area of Beaubien Street and 28e Avenue at 12:30 a.m. when they noticed the fire. “The Montreal fire department was called to bring the fire under control,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “Certain elements at the scene suggest that the fire was arson.” The building suffered significant damage, she added. “No incendiary material was found,” noted Chèvrefils There were no reported injuries. The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
