An altercation among a group of young people ended in a store window being shot at in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood on Monday evening. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 7:30 p.m. about the incident on Édouard-Montpetit Boulevard near Côte-des-Neiges Road. “According to initial reports, a conflict broke out between a group of youth,” said Manuel Couture, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “During the altercation, people were seen running away from the scene, and then a gunshot was heard.” He adds that when police arrived, a projectile impact was located on the window of a business. There were no reported injuries, and there have been no arrests. “The exact cause of this dispute is unknown at this time,” said Couture. Investigators are on site to determine what happened.
