A 43-year-old woman was sent to hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Montreal’s LaSalle borough. According to Montreal police, a 75 year old man was driving south on Lise Street and hit the woman while turning west on Newman Boulevard around 7:15 p.m. The woman was conscious when first responders arrived. She was severely injured to the upper body and transported to hospital in critical condition. By 10 p.m., police said her life was out of danger. The driver was not injured. A safety perimeter was established on-site and an investigation is ongoing.
