A West Island landscaping company is offering free lawn cuts this month—but only for those proudly flying the Canadian flag. Paul Henry Danylewich, the owner of the landscaping company, said that the flag is a symbol of unity at a time he feels the country needs it the most. “I was most upset when listening to Mr. Trump refer to our prime minister as the governor of the 51st state,” Danylewich said in an interview. He added that Canadians tend to be humble but that it is time to change that. “We need to be proud of our accomplishments and we need to be proud of the nation that we built.” The flag-for-a-cut offer runs through May. Danylewich said it’s not about how many lawns he mows it’s about sparking something bigger. “We need to renew our pride in Canada,” he noted.
