Union announces agreement in principle for its members in daycare centres

The Fédération de la santé et des services sociaux (FSSS) announced on Tuesday that it had reached an agreement in principle to renew the collective agreement of its members in some 400 Quebec childcare centres (CPEs).

These are the unionized workers who have held 13 days of walkouts since the end of January.

The agreement in principle will be submitted to union delegates from the CSN-affiliated FSSS in the coming days.

The three other union organizations taking part in this provincial negotiation had already reached an agreement in principle, and their members had ratified it several months ago.

The content of the agreement has not been revealed, as the unions are keeping it for their members.
